An ancient legend says that long ago our forefathers faced hard times, as there were few animals in the forests, few fish in the rivers, and there was famine. People did not know what to do, and they were desperate. Then, seeing the suffering of people, the beautiful goddess of fertility Demeter herself came down to earth, took from the hands of a warrior spear and made a furrow. Then she removed a wreath of ears from her head and threw a few grains. From these grains a wheat field rose up. Warm rains fed the ears with water, the sun gave them strength, and hunger receded.
Since those times, it was treated as a sacred gift of the gods, dearer than which nothing could be. It can be assumed that adhering to the same outlook, great thinkers in their creations praised the value of grain and cited such lines: "Lorsque vous avez faim, vous ne pensez pas à l'or, vous voulez manger. A ce moment, les grains sont plus précieux que l'or!" (When you are hungry, you don't think of gold - you want to eat. At such a time, grains are more valuable than gold!).
The company name LEOR is derived from the French word l'or, which means gold, and the image of the ear as a symbol of the very gift of Demeter, the goddess of fertility, reflects our philosophy towards values, their place in history and modern life.
